It's still Frugal February here! This week I got back into making my own bread. Sunday afternoon I baked 3 loaves of Family Bread and turned the 4th into cinnamon rolls. Here's how:
take the last 1/4 of risen dough & roll it out on a cutting board. Coat lightly with butter, flip over and butter 2nd side. Liberally sprinkle one side with cinnamon sugar, then tightly roll up dough. Slice into 10 rounds. place in a greased pie plate, cover with plastic and refridgerate overnight. In the morning, remove risen rolls & uncover, letting them come to room temperature as you preheat the oven to 350. Bake for 25-30 min. Cool slightly while you make an icing from powdered sugar, milk & vanilla glaze & eat! YUM!!
Today we tried a new cookie recipe from Jeanne Jones' Homestyle Cooking
Healthier Chocolate Chip! Yum!! They were really good. The girls made them all by themselves.
AND finally... I got a jump start on the warmer weather by planting lettuce and some flower seeds in the small greenhouse, and I got it all cleaned up, too. SOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo.
I've been busy. And now, I have hooligans to tuck in, so-
Good Night!
